My Teaching Philosophy
Art is a means of self-expression, experimentation, and problem solving…
As an art educator, my goal is to create a learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity, develop technical skills, and connect with the world through artistic expression. I believe that art has the power to build self-confidence, heal inner turmoils, and maintain a life-long appreciation for creativity and imagination.
In my classroom, I prioritize a student-centered approach, encouraging the freedom of creativity and experimentation. I believe in guiding students through providing useful techniques while allowing them to discover their own artistic voice. I encourage them to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them to teach the importance of the process along with the resulting product.

Every student comes with individual experiences, perspectives, and learning styles, and I strive to create an environment for each individual to feel seen, respected, and valued. By integrating a variety of artists, cultural perspectives, and a wide range of approaches to my curriculum, I encourage my students to appreciate the vast varieties of art in the world.
